Kaylin Pound is the woman behind this great idea for an Instagram campaign. Since launching the account a few weeks ago, they have already acquired almost 15 thousand followers in that time!

A news that without a doubt has set off many alarms and has created a lot of confusion and discontent among the users of the social network of the photographs.

Instagramers Gallery premia las mejores fotos de Instagram
La importancia de la red social de los fotógrafos es tal que numerosos usuarios pagan para comprar más seguidores en Instagram e incluso su auge ha provocado la aparición de grupos como Instagramers, una comunidad con usuarios repartidos por más de 60 países que han hecho de Instagram casi un modo de vida. Ahora, la comunidad de Instagramers ha tirado la casa por la ventana con la creación de una iniciativa fascinante y ambiciosa: Instagramers Gallery.
¿En qué consiste Instagramers Gallery? Pues como su propio nombre indica se trata de una iniciativa que consiste en una galería de Instagram en la que los usuarios podrán colgar sus fotos, de las cuales se elegirá cada día la mejor. Esta foto, nombrada como la mejor del día, se llevará un premio de 1.000 dólares (unos 725 euros) y además podrá optar por el premio Instagramers-Photo-Price a la mejor fotos absoluta y embolsarse así los 100.000 euros del premio.
Las fotos serán valoradas por un jurado de profesionales altamente reputadas y que lo tendrán bastante difícil, a tenor del impacto que puede tener la iniciativa, que ha sido bendecida también por la propia Instagram.
Se trata de una iniciativa atractiva y con unos premios más que suculentos y lo lógico es que sea todo un éxito ya que no existen condiciones de participación, eso sí, para ganar entre el aluvión de fotos presentadas tendremos que ser verdaderos artistas de la cámara (y os aseguramos que en Instagram hay muchos).
Sin embargo, la iniciativa Instagramers Gallery no se limita solo a internet, sino que paralelamente al lanzamiento de esta iniciativa online la comunidad Instagramers abrirá una galería llamada Instagramers Gallery Miami, donde los artistas de Instagram más reconocidos y los ganadores del Photo-Day-Price y del Instagramers-Photo-Price podrán exponer sus obras (ya hay más de 20 artistas invitados). La galería de Miami es solo una de las que los promotores tienen pensado abrir. De hecho, la segunda ya está en marcha y estará situada en Madrid.
No podemos cerrar el artículo sin hacer alusión a los promotores e ideólogos de esta iniciativa tan atractiva, Phil González y Jorge Martínez, quienes con el apoyo de los Instagramers de todo el mundo han creado un concepto totalmente innovador. Instagram y SoundCloud unen fotografía y música
Instagram y SoundCloud unen fotografía y música. La comunidad Instagram sigue creciendo de forma imparable. La red social de los fotógrafos acaba de anunciar un acuerdo con SoundCloud mediante el cual, los usuarios podrán añadir en dicha red social las fotos que tienen subidas al perfil de Instagram para ilustrar sus listas de reproducción, canciones o discos. La nueva alianza entre Instagram y SoundCloud quiere ser un nexo de unión entre fotografía y música y promete ser un auténtico bombazo en los próximos meses.
El acuerdo al que han llegado Instagram y SoundCloud es de grandes magnitudes, no en vano cada una tiene por separado alrededor de 250 millones de clientes. Estos clientes podrían, a a partir de ahora, llevar las fotografías de Instagram a su red social para músicos o amantes de la música.
Según los propios creadores de SoundCloud, el acuerdo es muy beneficioso para la compañía porque en Instagram hay numerosas fotos que son perfectas para ilustrar la música de un determinado grupo, alguno de sus discos, o mismamente para promocionar nuestro propio trabajo musical y conseguir menciones y comentarios en Instagram.
La principal ventaja es el formato cuadrado de las fotos de Instagram, lo que las hace perfectas para ser reproducidas en dispositivos móviles y además se asemeja a las antiguas portadas de vinilos o discos, también de formato cuadrado, y que en su tiempo (años 60 y 70) llegaron a ser auténticas obras maestras llenas de simbolismo.
Instagram da un paso así de gigante para expandir horizontalmente su negocio y abarcar más sectores, en este case se trata de unir la fotografía con la música. La red social de los fotógrafos sigue luchando por crecer y por desmarcarse de lo que ofrecen otras redes sociales como Facebook y Twitter.
Por su parte, SoudCloud es la red social dedicada a la música creada en 2007. La principal característica de SoundCloud es que permite colgar, distribuir y promocionar música de una forma sencilla. Funciona mediante un reproductor que puede ser añadido en diferentes páginas webs y en el que se pueden ir viendo las distintas actualizaciones. Se pueden realizar cambios en la lista de reproducción o incluso dejar comentarios en el propio archivo de sonido.
¿A quién no le gusta la música y la fotografía? Pues bien, a partir de ahora, gracias a Instagram y a SoundCloud vamos a poder disfrutar de las dos a la vez de una forma sencilla y creativa.
Instagram llega a Windows Phone
Instagram llega a Windows Phone. Instagram, una de las redes sociales con más crecimiento de los últimos años, ultima su desembarco en Windows Phone, el sistema operativo de Microsoft para dispositivos móviles. La red social de los fotógrafos ha sido presentada como una de las novedades más destacadas para el citado sistema operativo, toda vez que la conocida red social ya había llegado a Android y a los dispositivos de Apple en 2006.
El anuncio se ha hecho oficial durante la celebración del Nokia Worlds de Abu Dabi, donde el CEO de Instagram, Kevin Systrom, ha confirmado que la red social más cool del momento podrá descargarse en los dispositivos con Windows Phone y en los móviles Lumia de Nokia a partir de las próximas semanas (no ha confirmado un fecha exacta). De momento aún no ha trascendido si mantendrá su apariencia y todas sus funcionalidades, aunque todo hace indicar que así será.
Según las palabras del propio Systrom
“Nuestro objetivo final es llevar Instagram a todo aquel que quiera usarlo y ya estamos deseando ver las capturas de momentos hermosos desde teléfonos Windows en la comunidad Instagram en las próximas semanas”.
Hasta ahora, Windows Mobile permitía subir fotos a Instagram usando aplicaciones o programas de terceros permitidos por Instagram (en muchas ocasiones aplicaciones muy completas, tanto como Instagram). Sin embargo, la llegada de la red social de las fotos a Windows Phone, supondrá una gran pérdida para estas plataformas ya que probablemente ya no se puedan subir fotos a Instagram a través de ellas.
Microsoft busca con Windows Phone competir contra los sistemas Android de Google o iOS de Apple, aunque de momento tiene la batalla perdida. Este sistema llegó para sustituir al antiguo Windows Mobile y acercarse más a los usuarios y olvidar su vertiente más empresarial. Precisamente han sido los usuarios quienes se han quejado de las escasas opciones y aplicaciones disponibles que existen para Windows Phone, así que la novedad de Instagram es una estrategia encaminada a satisfacer la demanda de los usuarios.
Por su parte, Instagram, con más de 150 usuarios en todo el mundo, ya es una de las redes sociales y medios de comunicación más importantes del planeta y un punto estratégico esencial en la batalla de los sistemas operativos para móvil. Incluso, su creciente importancia para la imagen de usuarios y empresas ha provocado la aparición de compañías que permiten a los usuarios comprar likes en Instagram o conseguir numerosos seguidores a bajo coste.
Así que los usuarios que tengáis Windows Phone estáis de enhorabuena, la llegada de Instagram a vuestro dispositivo está confirmada y no tardará mucho en llegar. Paciencia.
