Of course, you can’t expect a high-quality translation, since it’s almost like putting the text on Google Translate, but it can help a bit with the language barriers among people who follow each other. So basically, Instagram has announced that they’ll be doing the same thing. Since there are millions of users from all around the world, it’s pretty obvious that there’s a big language barrier among lots of accounts. Lets say you follow a fashion blogger from Saudi Arabia and all of her captions are in a language you don’t understand. Well, with an automatic translation button, you’ll be able to more or less understand what they’re saying about that picture.
However, this function isn’t only going to be available for captions, but also for profile bios and comments as well. That’s pretty neat! They took a while to introduce such an important tool to one of the most popular social networks, but better late than never. Now, let’s see if any other apps will be adding a similar function. Like, for example, Snapchat? Who knows!

Instagram is constantly innovating different features. It’s one of the fastest-growing platforms along with Facebook, which is its owner company. One of the new things they have announced is a button that will be added to certain profiles. Online, those Instagram that are business-related will have it available.
This new “Contact” button will allow anyone to contact that brand or business directly through email without having to leave the platform. And not just that, but those profiles will also have additional information about the company, like its address. The objective is to make it even easier for the consumer, to have businesses even closer to the customers. Plus, it’s also a big help for the business as well.
At the moment, only a few accounts have them, since they’re still more or less testing it out. But in a few weeks time (maybe months, but let’s hope not), we’ll be seeing it on many other well-known accounts. This will be a great way not only make contact between client and company much easier, but also to generate an even bigger income thanks to that platform with millions of users, where there are thousands of companies active on it on a daily basis.

A beta program has been developed to test how these video ads work with posts on social media and up to what point do people interact more with them. For example, a few months ago a specific brand tried out this new technology and made a 30-second video. One of the screen corners had a button that led you to take a test and would recommend what products from that brand would suit you.
The goal behind an initiative like this is to make people stop being only viewers and turning them into participants. This kind of engagement can increase ad attention and engagement, which is much more profitable. The thing is, if something like these reaches Facebook and Instagram, people would need to invest a bit more money in order to make their ads stand out in comparison to others. But honestly, we think it’s probably worth it in the long run!

Instagram wants images to stop appearing in chronological order and, instead, appear by relevance. They claim that that way, good yet old pictures won’t get lost under all your other great new pictures; it’s like a way of keeping the most important pictures on top. People are assuming this social website is following the steps of it’s bigger brother: Facebook.
For those who don’t remember, Instagram was purchased by Facebook quite some time ago. And Facebook already updated to its new timeline, where you can go on someone’s profile, and now you’ll see posts ordered in a more or less chronological order, but the most popular posts will appear first.
Instagram’s users aren’t very fond of this. They claim that Instagram will lose its essence. In fact, people are so against it that they’ve started a campaign on Change.org that got 66000 signatures. Some say that it wouldn’t be such a bad idea if at least you could decide what appears on your profile. As in, if you want to have it in chronological order, then you can. If you want it ordered by the most popular, then you can have that too!
