A few weeks ago Instagram introduced us to its new feature: Instagram stories. If you’ve already seen it, you can tell it’s pretty much a copy of what Snapchat is. But anyway, millions of users have started using it, and up until this day, over 100 million users have uploaded a story to their Instagram news feed.

At first, only your followers were allowed to see your stories. However, if your profile is public, other people that don’t follow you could also view your profile. And, no worries, you can see every single person who has viewed your video! So it’s pretty much impossible to stalk those stories without the user knowing.
However, Instagram decided to add these stories to the recommendation section. So instead of just having recommended pictures or videos of other users you might want to follow, you’ll also be able to see their stories. It’s true that you can’t determine what an Instagram account looks like by a story, but if it’s attractive it might make you click on it and check the rest of the account out.
It’s a great idea to get people even more connected throughout such a giant social network. Adding functions to Instagram is definitely a good way to keep it alive and kep all its users active month after month. If they keep up the good work, who nows how long Instagram will live!
