We’ve recently discovered this new term. Instagram husbands. Who knows how many of you were already aware of its existence, but it surely caught us by surprise. For all those who probably don’t know what it is, it’s basically and man that takes pictures of his wife, girlfriend, etc. so she can upload them to her account. The term was created by a Youtuber, who made a parody video of this phenomenon.
Snapshot of the Instagram Husbands video.
The video was inspired by real-life situations, only more exaggerated. There are lots of girls out there (and probably lots of guys too) that have their friends, partners or other people take pictures of them so they look better on their social media. You know, like a free photo session. However, in the majority of those cases the photographer doesn’t enjoy it too much.
We all like taking pictures of others every once in a while, but when you become a walking selfie stick, it’s a little bit different. We know how hard some people work in order to grow on Instagram, but using someone as your photo slave is never a good idea. Do it once in a while, but don’t abuse. Or, if you really want a pseudo-personal photographer, then maybe think about giving them some tips… or paying them! It’s an investment in your own account.
